And in Yerevan some of Armenians were preparing for the play-offs and revenge for the game held three years ago against Turkey… Since that time Turkey has become weaker and Armenia – stronger

We must have Turkey in our country and hit 4 goals http://t.co/CJrxpIpl

Some background: goals from the last games of teams, Oct. 7, 2011

Andorra – Ireland 0:2
Armenia – Macedonia 4:1
Before the game Armenians were optimistic. Those, who love football, came to Yerevan Opera House and watched game online on the big screen

But they were disappointed. 2 times…

First time at 26th min. – Armenian goalkeeper is dismissed from the field. It seems, he didn’t break the rules… Armenian team’s captain is sure that it’s because of judge’s mistake “against” Ireland couple of years ago…

Second was auto goal – at 43th minute. Fortune was on Ireland’s side 🙂

Finally, Ireland won, 2:1. Congrats, Ireland! But we’ve played very good also! Fans were glad

Here we go again. Giovanni Trapattoni’s Republic of Ireland got the result they needed to advance into another play-off decider and the seventh in the nation’s history after a game shaped by controversy, comedy and dodgy goalkeeping.
